LRI Announces Steven J. Allenby Joins the Board
Gambrills, Maryland – September 15, 2010 — LRI, a leading provider of lighting and water building efficiency services, is pleased to announce that Steven J. Allenby has joined the firm's Board of Directors.
Mr. Allenby has focused for much of his 30 year career in the energy industry on the design, financing and implementation of energy efficiency projects and programs by energy services companies (ESCOs), governments, and utilities, and he is one of the country's foremost experts on federal government energy efficiency programs. His consulting firm, Allenby Associates, advises clients on energy efficiency programs and financing mechanisms, among other areas. He is a frequent speaker at energy conferences, and is the author of several white papers including "Financing and Delivering Energy Services to the U.S. Government".
Mr. Allenby was previously an Executive Vice President at Catalyst Financial Group, which provides financing and consulting for energy efficiency projects, a Senior Vice President at United Financial of Illinois, and President of Central Vermont Public Service Corp.'s unregulated energy services subsidiary, among other roles in a 12 year career at the utility. He is a cum laude graduate of the Vermont Law School, and received his BA magna cum laude from Heidelberg College.
