ARBORVIEW CAPITAL LEADS SOUPERGIRL INVESTMENT

WASHINGTON, DC, October 06, 2020 Soupergirl, the all-natural, plant-based soup and gazpacho company, today announced that it has raised $2 million in Series A funding. The round is led by Arborview Capital with participation from Seth Goldman, founder of Honest Tea and board member of Beyond Meat, and Danielle Vogel, founder of Glen’s Garden Market and supporter of female and minority-owned food brands.

Soupergirl’s soups are a fusion of modern flavors and old-fashioned cooking techniques that highlight seasonal, fresh ingredients. Soupergirl sells through major grocery retailers, including Whole Foods Market, Costco, Lidl, Wegmans, and Giant Food, and direct to consumers via www.soupergirl.com . The investment will allow Soupergirl to rapidly expand production and grow its national footprint.

“We are so grateful for our partnership with Arborview Capital. They believe in our company and our mission to change the world, one bowl of soup at a time,” said Sara Polon, co-founder and CEO of Soupergirl. “Arborview’s investment will allow us to accelerate our growth at a critical time when the nation is looking for safe and healthy at-home food options. We will be able to increase our national reach while staying true to our values.”

The private investment group’s support, along with the addition of new strategic investors, is a testament to their confidence in Soupergirl even during these difficult times.

“Soupergirl’s longtime fans know what customers around the country are beginning to appreciate on a broader scale—that there is a way to produce all-natural meals that are delicious and just happen to be plant-based,” said Karl Khoury, co-founder and Partner of Arborview.

Carolyn Farley, Principal of Arborview Capital, added: “Sara Polon shares our firm’s core belief that sustainability makes business sense, and she has a long track record of showing compassion towards her team while also being a reliable steward of our natural resources.”

Seth Goldman, the food visionary and board member of Beyond Meat, added: “I’ve been mentoring Sara for a decade, and admire her passion for high quality and delicious food that helps consumers meet their health goals. My wife Julie and I are proud to support Sara’s growth plans and look forward to helping Soupergirl expand its reach.”
